Heel and/or arch pain is one of the most frequent reasons a person will seek podiatric help . The most common form of adult heel pain is known as Plantar Fasciitis and presents typically as pain when standing up first thing in the morning or after any prolonged rest.

Since there are several potential causes, it is important to have heel pain properly diagnosed. A podiatrist is able to distinguish between all the possibilities and determine the underlying source of your heel pain. Treatment usually involves a combined approach to correct any imbalances in your foot posture with an orthotic(insert), exercise therapy, footwear modification and activity changes.

Our team of podiatrists are experienced at dealing with these debilitating problems and will help get you back to normal. For more information on the treatment of arch and heel pain please see our plantar fasciitis factsheet,  contact us or make an appointment.
